  2. Secondly, tea is a very rich source of antioxidants. Antioxidants not only help with burning fat deposits within the body, they also help fight the harmful effects of free radicals which are released when fat deposits dissolve. Free radicals cause damage and deterioration of our vital organs and cause premature signs of ageing to appear. Antioxidants, which are present In tea are our only protection against free radicals.

Additionally, high metabolic rate also implies high energy which leads to high levels of activity. This invariable also leads to decrease in fat deposit.
  4. After every meal we consume, our blood sugar increases. Having tea along with a meal, as is the custom in several Eastern countries, helps keep this blood sugar in check. Tea works as a glucose regulator within our body ensuring that our blood sugar doesn't rise significantly after a meal. This means that tea can help management of sugar levels in our blood, further aiding our efforts in weight loss.
  5. Tea also contains nutrients called catechins. These nutrients have proven to be effective in lowering both body fat and cholesterol levels. This is also a significant contribution in our battle against the bulge.
  6. Fatty acid synthase is an enzymatic system that is involved in the process of turning carbohydrates into fat. Early research has shown that tea may have the ability to inhibit this fatty acid synthase. This could dramatically help our efforts to control and reduce our weight by preventing carbs from turning into fat within our body.
